SUGAR GROVE – Bliss Woods Forest Preserve in Sugar Grove will host a habitat restoration work day from 9 a.m to noon June 1. Attendeeds will be pulling Hedge parsley and garlic mustard.
According to a news release, Bliss Woods is a beautiful, high-quality woodland hosting many unusual plants. Removing invasive species will help sustain its unique nature.
Attendees are asked to wear long sleeves, long pants and thin work gloves to avoid getting poison ivy. The event begins at the main parking lot of Bliss Woods off of Bliss Road in Sugar Grove.
