ST. CHARLES – St. Charles East High School sophomore Emma Santos is one of 25 students selected to participate in Fermilab's six-week paid summer internship program.
The TARGET Program incorporates both classroom and work experiences that support the science conducted at Fermilab. Students will participate in instructional sessions focused on S.T.E.M. principles. In addition, they will work on individual and group projects and have the opportunity to formally present their work at the end of the TARGET Program.
Santos was chosen from a pool of 305 students who applied for the internship experience. She and other interns will work at Fermilab from June 24 through August 2.
