Battery, obstructing among charges

Oswego police arrested Lynne Katsma-Rooney, 52, of the 300 block of Millstream Road, Oswego, at 1 a.m. March 26 at her residence. Police said Katsma-Rooney was charged with domestic battery, obstructing a peace officer and resisting a peace officer. Police said the suspect was transported to the County Jail pending court proceedings.

Investigate battery

Oswego police are investigating a report of a battery that occurred at 9:30 p.m. March 24 in a parking lot of a pizza restaurant in the 2400 block of Route 30. Police said the incident was reported to them the following day. A 14 year-old Aurora boy was the uninjured victim in the incident, according to police.

Fraud reported

Oswego police took a fraud report at 8 p.m. March 25 at a residence in the 300 block of Century Drive. Police said the victim lost $2,000 in the incident.

Suspects sought in burglary attempt

Oswego police are investigating a report of an attempted burglary and criminal damage to property incident that occurred March 26 at 12:22 a.m. at a business in the 50th block of Chicago Road. Police said they have descriptions of two suspects in the incident.

Arrested on battery charge

Oswego police arrested Dewayne A. Bradley II, 25, no address given, at 7:20 p.m. March 22 in the 30th block of Jefferson Street on a charge of battery. Police said a 44 year-old man and 32 year-old woman were the victims in the incident. Bradley later posted bond and was released pending court proceedings.

One hurt in crash

An Oswego resident, Michael Lake, 55, was injured in a two vehicle crash at 7:41 a.m. March 19 on Route 34 at Douglas Road, according to Oswego police. Lake was transported to an area hospital, while the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash, Eric Olson, 44, of Bristol, was not hurt, police said.

Facing aggravated battery charge

Oswego police arrested Alan Y. Raza, 19, of the 4400 block of Bickford Drive, Oswego, at 11:13 p.m. March 19 at his residence on an aggravated battery charge. Police said two men, ages 25 and 43, respectively, were the uninjured victims in the incident. Raza was transported to the County Jail in Yorkville where he later posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.

Retail theft arrest

Oswego police arrested Diane M. Kellett, 47, no known address, at 12:30 p.m. March 23 on a charge of retail theft from a store in the 50th block of Chicago Road. Police said officers were told that Kellett left the store without paying for merchandise valued at $72.42. The suspect posted bond and was released pending court proceedings, police said.
