PRINCETON — Princeton Elementary School District bus drivers and crossing guards were honored with a special thank you from Logan Junior High School Student Council members and Princeton Police Chief Tom Kammerer. Each received a “thank you goodie bag.”
With the treacherous and unpredictable winter weather this year, the drivers and crossing guards diligently showed up at their posts/buses each day, putting in hours before and after school to keep the PES students safe.
Crossing guards include Ray DeMarlie (Main and Central), Connie Anderson (Peru and Randolph), Patty Meronek (Peru and Euclid), Louis Burton (Peru and Gosse), Max Wallace (Clark and Main) and Judy Bogatitus (Tiskilwa).
Bus drivers include Ken Allen, Bill Bangston, Ginger Barnes, Steve Beatty, Dave Bowlen, Lisa Clark, John Costello, Rita Dabler, Bingo Day, Denis Dylo, Phil Favia (monitor), Mark Gray, Ron Heitmann, Terrie Hjertstedt, Joyce Johnson, Mike Johnson, John Keener, Connie Lind, John Matlick, Bob May, Tami Meyer, Larry Miller, Jeff Moore, Rich Philippe (monitor), Edd Robinson, Sandy Rose, Thomas Samuels, Torrie Searle, Zach Smith, Kathy Sopher (monitor), Charlie Waca and Deb Wright.
