Edward Hasbrook

BRADFORD — Edward L. Hasbrook, 74, of Bradford passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2019, at his home.

He was born Aug. 26, 1944, in Princeton, the son of Roy and Lola (Headley) Hasbrook. Ed married his high school sweetheart, Dianne Petersen, June 27, 1965, at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Princeton. They shared 53 years together. She survives in Bradford.

He graduated from Western High School in Buda with the Class of 1964. “Easy Ed” worked at Pines/Great Dane in Kewanee for 38 years.

He loved farming, auctions, camping and traveling.

Also surviving are two sons, Troy (Robin Lindner) Hasbrook of Bradford and Shannon (Jodi VanWassenhove) Hasbrook of Neponset; one daughter, Angela (Rob) Joos of Neponset; four grandchildren, Anthony (Katy) Moore of Neponset, Megan (David Washburn) Eble of Iowa City, Iowa, Mercedes Hasbrook of Neponset and Kyle Joos of Neponset; one stepgranddaughter, Sophie VanWassenhove of Neponset; one great-granddaughter, Amelia; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Braydon and Arianna; two brothers, Don (Norine) Hasbrook of Fall River, Wis., and Richard (Trudy) Hasbrook of Tulare, Calif.; two sisters, Margaret (Bruce) Bryner of Galva and Katherin (Frank) Mason of Bradford; and many nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Gene, Jim and Rob; and three sisters, Betty Griffin, Carrie Stenros and Elizabeth in infancy.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at the Grant-Johnson Funeral Home in Bradford with the Rev. Jan Ringenberg officiating. Burial will be in the Osceola Grove Cemetery in rural Bradford.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the funeral home.
