Mother & Sons Strikes of Fun: The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department invites all mothers and sons to a fun afternoon out together at Mother & Sons Strikes of Fun on Sunday, Jan. 27 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Yorkville Bowl (1211 N .Bridge St., Yorkville). For $17 per person, mothers and sons will have a blast bowling, eating, and competing. Price includes shoe rental, two games of bowling, popcorn, drinks, a slice of pizza and prizes. Youth spring soccer league registration: Play soccer with the Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department this spring. Registration for youth leagues begins on Monday, Jan. 28 and will last until Friday, Feb. 8. Don't delay, divisions will fill before the end of registration. Divisions that will be offered include 3 Year-Old, Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st/2nd Grade, 3rd/4th Grade, 5th-8th Grade. Registration is $50-$95 depending on your child's grade and residency status. Adult summer softball registration: Looking to play softball this summer? The Yorkville Parks and Recreation Department will begin registration for the Men's Summer Softball League on Monday, Jan. 28. Registration will last until Friday, April 5 and is $925 per team. The Men's Summer Softball League will feature an 18 game schedule (double-header format) with games being played from 6:25 to10:25 p.m. Leagues are USSSA sanctioned.
