One of the teenaged defendants in a Peru drug store robbery is going to be prosecuted as an adult.
Donte J. Blow, 21, Madison, Tenn., and Anthony D. Riggs, 22, Indianapolis, are charged with robbing Walgreens in Peru on July 17. Police said they used a gun and stole drugs. Two boys from Indiana, ages 17 and 15, were also charged as juveniles. They were all arrested, soon after the holdup, on Interstate 39 near Wenona.
The 17-year-old boy, Dashawn M. Yarbrough, was charged this week as an adult. Yarbrough is being held in a juvenile detention center in Joliet. He has a hearing in La Salle County on Tuesday, Dec. 11.
