Trick-or-treating safety: A list of registered sex offenders living in Elmhurst

ELMHURST – In the interest of ensuring safety during Halloween trick-or-treating, the Elmhurst Suburban Life has decided to publish a list of registered sex offenders living in Elmhurst as of Oct. 25, according to the Illinois Sex Offender Registry.

• Angel E. Chire, 59, 284 N. Highland Ave.

• William L. Vail, 56, 718 N. Indiana St.

• Lawrence J. Cook, 27, 822 N. Indiana St.

• Jojo V. Vazh, 40, 820 N. Willow Road

• Marcus Antoine Hunley, 42, 167 Pick Ave.

• Kevin M. Teichen, 37, 130 S. Pick Ave.

• Raymond S. Nalepka, 57, 626 S. Hawthorne Ave.

Illinois law prohibits all sex offenders who committed a crime against a child from distributing candy or other items to children on Halloween, according to an Oct. 30, 2017, news release from Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan's office.

Sex offenders on parole, mandatory supervised release and probation may have other conditions imposed upon them to protect the public. They may be prohibited from having their porch lights on and from leaving their homes, except for verified work purposes, the release stated.
