29-year-old killed in apparent University Park hit-and-run

A 29-year-old University Park man was killed Thursday morning in an apparent hit-and-run crash.

Antaune M. Allen died about 1:25 a.m. Thursday in the 900 block of Morningside Drive in University Park, according to a news release from the Will County Coroner’s Office.

A vehicle appeared to have hit Allen. He was a pedestrian in the area, according to the release from coroner’s office officials.

University Park police were investigating the incident. An autopsy performed Thursday showed that Allen died as a result of injuries suffered during the crash.

Woods Funeral Home in Chicago Heights is handling the funeral arrangements.
