Plainfield East High School Assistant Principal Kai Freeman will serve as principal at Drauden Point Middle School next year.

Freeman will replace Pat Flynn, who resigned earlier this summer to pursue other opportunities.

Freeman started his education career in 2006 as a physical education teacher at Thornwood High School.

He served from 2012 to 2013 as the interim assistant athletic director and the athletic director at Thornwood, then came to District 202 in 2013 as the dean of students at PEHS.
