Bradley M. Ochsner

NORMAL — Bradley Michael Ochsner, 25, of Normal, passed away at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet.

His funeral service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, with the reverend from The Tabernacle, Dr. Timothy James Ferrill, officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private inurnment will be at a later date.

A memorial fund will be established in his memory and may be mailed to his parents, Joe and Kim Ochsner, at 2386 Corrigan Way, Normal, IL 61761.

Bradley was born May 24, 1993, in Streator, the son of Joseph J. and Kimberly A. Carby Ochsner.

Surviving are his parents, Joe and Kim Ochsner, of Normal; his brother, Adam (Emilee) Ochsner, of Bloomington; his sister, Sidney Ochsner, of Normal; paternal grandmother, Patricia (Steven) Schmillen, of Ottawa; paternal grandfather, Ralph Ochsner, of Streator; maternal grandparents, Robert and Susan Carby, of Bloomington; his nephew, Blake Edge, of Bloomington; his aunts and uncles, Andrew and Lori Carby, Tim and Beth Creamean, Jeremy and Tina Carby, Matthew and Dawn Carby, Alison and David Fox and Christopher Carby; cousins, Whitney Creamean, Holly (Tyler) Sauers, Chase Ochsner, Taylor and Nathan Carby, Alexandra Marable, Olivia Carby, Jackson and Annie Carby, Priscilla and Scarlett Fox, Jordyn and Cody Carby.

Bradley was preceded in death by his uncle, Bud Ochsner.

Bradley graduated from Normal West High School in 2011. He then went to Southeast Lineman Training Center, Trenton, Ga. After graduating, he lived and worked in Miami, Fla., and later moved back home to work for ComEd in the Joliet and Chicago area, where he has been employed the last five years. While growing up, Bradley was active in many youth sports; in particular he played on many travel baseball teams with his brother, and often his father being the coach of their teams.

He loved music, playing the guitar and drawing. Bradley enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was very loyal, compassionate and generous to everyone in his life. Bradley loved the outdoors; he enjoyed fishing, mountain biking and many other outdoor activities. Bradley had an incredibly gentle soul and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
