GLEN ELLYN – The Glen Ellyn Police Department has released sketches of the two men involved in an armed robbery May 2 at The Soccer Edge store in the Baker Hill shopping center.
At about 1 p.m., Glen Ellyn police officers responded to The Soccer Edge at 936 Roosevelt Road for the report of an armed robbery, according to a news release from the Police Department. Witnesses reported two men entered the store and stole cash and merchandise before running from the store, the release stated.
No one was injured during the incident, according to the release. The two offenders entered a silver or light gray Volkswagen sedan with a sunroof and fled the area westbound on Roosevelt Road from Interstate 355, the release stated.
One of the suspects is described as being a thin Hispanic man in his 20s with short brown hair, wearing a navy blue baseball cap, white T-shirt, jean shorts and aviator-style sunglasses, according to the release. He allegedly displayed a black and silver handgun during the robbery, the release stated.
The other suspect is described as a Hispanic man with an average build in his mid-20s to early 30s, with tattoos on both arms and a tribal-like tattoo with triangles wrapping around his left bicep, according to the release.
