Wheaton man charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse at HealthTrack in Glen Ellyn

GLEN ELLYN – A Wheaton man has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse in connection with the alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile at HealthTrack Sports Wellness in Glen Ellyn.

The Glen Ellyn Police Department was notified of the alleged sexual abuse of a juvenile that occurred at HealthTrack, 875 Roosevelt Road, according to a news release from the Police Department. Because the victim was a juvenile, the investigation was transferred to the DuPage County Children’s Center, the release stated.

The Children’s Center investigation led to the arrest of Gregory Dacanay, 42, of Wheaton, according to the release. On April 20, Dacanay was charged by detectives from the Children’s Center with aggravated criminal sexual abuse. The victim was between the ages of 13 and 17, the release stated.

Dacanay appeared in bond court April 21, where Judge Robert Douglas set bond at $100,000, with 10 percent to apply, according to the release. His next court date is set for May 4 in courtroom 4012.

Because the victim is a juvenile, no further details will be released, the release stated.
