The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force was investigating several complaints of drug dealing in the area of the 500 block of North Front Street in McHenry when they searched the home Friday.

Detectives seized a pound of marijuana, 46 vials of liquid THC, 40 rounds of 0.45-caliber ammunition, suspected cocaine residue, drug paraphernalia and $1,272 in cash, the release stated.

The estimated street value of the drugs is about $10,040.

Charged in connection with the investigation are Lucas A. Altmayer, 25; Anthony F. Destefano, 24; and Daniel P. Kosel, 23, all of the 500 block of North Front Street, McHenry.
Each is charged with delivery of marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Destefano faces an additional charge of possession of ammunition without a firearm owner’s identification card, and Kosel also is charged with possession of a controlled substance.

The most serious charge, delivery of marijuana, typically is punishable by two to five years in prison.

A judge is expected to set bond for each of the men Saturday morning.
