JOLIET – Parking at the Union Station commuter lot again will cost $1 an hour, the city announced Wednesday.
Parking at the lot, located at the southwest corner of Jefferson and Scott streets, was reduced to $1 a day as a courtesy to commuters during construction of the Joliet Gateway Center train station, the city said in a news release issued after the station opened.
The $1 an hour fee will start Monday.
Dollar a day parking will continue to be available at other commuter parking lots located on York Street, Washington Street, New Street, Marion/Chicago Street and along the Rock Island platform, the city said.
More information about commuter parking is available on the city's website, www.cityofjoliet.info.
