SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. – Barbara I. Gerdes, 78, formerly of Lanark, died Friday, March 9, 2018.

She was born Jan. 21, 1940, to Oliver and Eldora Vietmeier. She married Ronald Gerdes.

Surviving are her husband, Ronald; a sister, Diane (Marvin); two sons, Rodney (Dee) and Timothy (Aldena); daughter, Kristine (Joe); five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, and a brother.

A celebration of life was March 18 at Udall Park in Tuscon, Arizona.
