Battery
• Kevin Kaysing, 35, of the 400 block of South Argyle Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 9:13 p.m. March 21 with felony aggravated battery to a police officer, felony resisting or obstructing a police officer and disorderly conduct – breach of peace in the 400 block of South Argyle Avenue.
• Christopher Murphy, 27, of the 100 block of Hale Street, Elmhurst, was charged at 11:49 p.m. March 17 with domestic battery in the 100 block of Hale Street.
• Steven A. Southwell, 40, of the 400 block of West Grantley Avenue, Elmhurst, was charged at 9:47 p.m. March 18 with domestic battery in the 400 block of West Grantley Avenue.
Bail bond violation
Chris Murphy, 27, of the 100 block of East Hale Street, Elmhurst, was charged at 2:56 p.m. March 18 with violation of bail bond in the 100 block of East Hale Street.
Burglary
• Two padlocks reportedly had been cut off a trailer and items reportedly were stolen between noon March 16 and 7:30 a.m. March 19 in the south parking lot behind Hap System, 492 W. Wrightwood Ave.
• A purse reportedly was stolen between 5:15 and 5:53 p.m. March 21 from a parked vehicle in the 100 block of North Addison Avenue. Fraudulent transactions reportedly were processed on the victim's US Bank card.
• A Playstation 4 reportedly was stolen between 9 p.m. March 20 and 7 p.m. March 23 in the 400 block of Argyle Avenue.
Deceptive practice
• An incident involving a deceptive practice was reported at 11:16 a.m. March 17 in the 500 block of North Evergreen Avenue. The victim reported he received a postcard in the mail that indicated his credit card was declined by the Illinois Tollway and he needed to contact the Illinois Tollway to correct the issue. The victim called the number listed and provided his credit card information, realized it was not the Illinois Tollway and then canceled his credit card.
• A counterfeit $20 bill reportedly was used to purchase parts/sales at 8:44 a.m. March 19 at Trans Chicago Truck Group, 776 N. York Road. The Secret Service was notified of the incident.
Drug paraphernalia possession
Starkisha Stephens, 35, of the 2000 block of Stanley Court, Schaumburg, was cited at 9:21 p.m. March 19 with possession of drug paraphernalia at St. Charles Road and Fair Avenue. Tiffany Valentine, 29, of the 14500 block of San Francisco Avenue, Posen, was cited at the same time and date with possession of open liquor at the same location.
DUI
• Cesar Ledezma-Contreras, 45, of the 1500 block of North Lee Boulevard, Berkeley, was charged at 1:51 a.m. March 17 with driving under the influence of alcohol and disobeying a traffic control signal at York Street and Industrial Drive.
• Ricardo Matamoros, 23, of the 300 block of North Hemlock Avenue, Wood Dale, was charged at 5 p.m. March 17 with DUI of alcohol and no insurance at Third Street and Addison Avenue.
• Ronnie Reyes, 22, of the 400 block of Post Oak Circle, West Chicago, was charged at 1:20 a.m. March 18 with DUI of alcohol and possession of a controlled substance at North and Villa avenues.
• Iakov Karaban, 21, of the 200 block of West Wellington Drive, Palatine, was charged at 1:22 a.m. March 18 with DUI of drugs, driving while license revoked, improper lane use and failure to signal at Route 83 and North Avenue. Colin Schenkel, 20, of the 1100 block of East Plate Drive, Palatine, was cited at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana at the same location.
Identity theft
An incident involving identity theft reportedly occurred between 12:01 a.m. March 12 and 11:59 a.m. March 17 in the 100 block of South Arlington Avenue.
Lost property
An Illinois license plate reportedly was lost between 2 and 2:30 p.m. March 21 from a vehicle during a test drive at I-Vehicles, 556 W. Lake St.
Marijuana possession
• Oscar Gamez, 21, of the 300 block of North Chestnut Street, Addison, was charged at 11:29 p.m. March 18 with unlawful possession of marijuana at North Avenue and Route 83.
• Alex Calle, 21, of the 2500 block of North 78th Avenue, Elmwood Park, was charged at 8:05 p.m. March 19 with unlawful possession of marijuana, driving while license suspended, no insurance, suspended registration and possession of drug paraphernalia at Commonwealth Lane and Butterfield Road. Kyle Garcia, 18, of the 2700 block of North 75th Court, Elmwood Park, was charged at the same time and date with unlawful possession of marijuana at the same location.
• Piedad Jorgenson, 27, of the 100 block of East Grand Avenue, Bensenville, was cited at 1:20 a.m. March 22 with unlawful possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, no rear registration plate light and no insurance at York Road and Grand Avenue.
• A juvenile was charged at 7:15 p.m. March 22 with disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of marijuana in the 600 block of North Walnut Street.
Property damage
A BB gun reportedly was used to break a hole in a window in the southwest corner of a house between noon Jan. 31 and 3 p.m. Feb. 23 in the 500 block of South Rex Boulevard.
Suspicious circumstances
An incident involving suspicious circumstances was reported at 8:30 a.m. March 22 in the 1000 block of South Mitchell Avenue. The victim reportedly received a call from someone requesting her bank account number and Social Security number in order for the victim to receive her Social Security checks. The victim reviewed her bank account, and no fraudulent activity was found. The account has been closed.
Theft
• An attempted retail theft was reported at 11:07 a.m. March 17 at Jewel-Osco, 944 S. York St. It is believed a suspect was attempting to conceal alcohol in his jacket.
• Fourteen oxycodone tablets reportedly were stolen between 8 a.m. March 14 and 8 a.m. March 15 at Park Place, 1150 S. Euclid Ave.
• A white semi-truck was reported as having been stolen between 8 a.m. March 12 and 11 p.m. March 16 from a gravel lot in the 800 block of South Riverside Drive.
• All four tires reportedly were stolen from a rental vehicle between 7:30 p.m. March 21 and 6:50 a.m. March 21 while it was parked at Spring Hill Suites, 410 W. Lake St.
• Supplies were reported stolen at 6:47 p.m. March 22 at Sherwin-Williams, 223 N. York St.
• Two wedding bands and an engagement ring reportedly were stolen between 10 p.m. March 15 and 8 a.m. March 19 in the 200 block of North Maple Avenue.
• A bicycle reportedly was stolen between 5:45 and 6 p.m. March 22 in the 200 block of North Geneva Avenue.
• Two rings and a bracelet reportedly were stolen between 4 p.m. March 17 and 4 p.m. March 22 from a jewelry box at Lexington Square, 400 W. Butterfield Road.
• Three bottles of alcohol and a few other unknown items were reported stolen at 9:36 p.m. March 24 at Jewel-Osco, 944 S. York St.
Threat
An incident involving threatening statements reportedly occurred at 4:59 p.m. March 19 in the 300 block of West North Avenue.
Traffic violation
• Noel Zavala, 28, of the 500 block of North Second Avenue, Villa Park, was charged at 1:42 a.m. March 17 with driving while license suspended and tinted windows at North and West avenues.
• Jeffrey Britton, 24, of the 1600 block of North Monitor Avenue, Chicago, was cited at 4:50 p.m. March 19 with driving while license suspended and speeding at Lake Street and Howard Avenue.
• Ever Lopez-Alva, 22, of the 100 block of Gerry Stevens Drive, Bensenville, was charged at 1:21 a.m. March 20 with no valid driver's license and failure to signal at Lake Street and Grand Avenue.
• Ian Witbeck, 27, of the zero to 100 block of East Medill Avenue, Northlake, was charged at 11:45 p.m. March 21 with no valid driver's license and no headlights in the 800 block of North York Street.
• Tiffani Piearson, 35, of the 19000 block of Oakway Drive, Humble, Texas, was charged at 10:09 a.m. March 22 with driving while license suspended and tinted windows at St. Charles Road and Route 83.
• Martin Alvarez-Trejo, 25, of the 600 block of George Street, Bensenville, was charged at 11:10 a.m. March 22 with driving while license suspended, expired registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at Grand Avenue and York Road.
• Tadeusz Kuriata, 54, of the 1800 block of West Welwyn Avenue, Des Plaines, was charged at 9:20 a.m. March 24 with no valid driver's license, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at York Street and North End Avenue.
• Darnell L. Martin, 28, of the 100 block of North Lavergne, Chicago, was charged at 9:36 p.m. March 24 with driving while license revoked and no rear registration plate light at St. Charles Road and Kenilworth Avenue.
Warrant arrest
• Yair Palacios-Valderrama, 29, of the 100 block of Sonny Lane, Bensenville, was arrested at 12:07 a.m. March 19 on a warrant out of DuPage County and charged with driving while license revoked and tinted windows at Lake and Church streets.
• James Vellagas, 39, of the 7500 block of Tiffany Drive, Orland Park, was arrested at 11:20 a.m. March 23 on two warrants out of DuPage County at the Elmhurst Police Department, 125 E. First St.
• Khari Moore, 19, of the 5900 block of West Rice Street, Chicago, was arrested at 7:24 p.m. March 23 on a warrant out of DuPage County and charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing identification at Starbucks, 164 N. York St.
