STERLING – Twin Cities PADS homeless shelter will reopen at 7 p.m. Sunday.
The shelter at 111 E. 29th St. in Sterling will be open from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily until it closes for the season May 1. Executive Director Myles Newberry said the shelter will be open 24 hours on extremely cold days.
The shelter always can use more volunteers. Those interested can sign up on the website at twincitiespads.org, or call the shelter at 815-626-2210. It's a good idea to call before dropping by the shelter.
Donations are also accepted on the website. Newberry can be reached via email at twincitiespads@gmail.com.
