Three hurt in crash

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 34 at Orchard Road Sept. 4 at 8:14 p.m., Oswego police reported. Police said Grace Hollins, 19, of Aurora and two juvenile passengers in her vehicle complained of injuries and were transported to an area hospital. The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash, Eric Brown, 28, of Sandwich, was not hurt, police said.

Theft investigation underway

Oswego police are investigating an incident in which merchandise valued at $417 was stolen from a store in the 2300 block of Route 34 Sept. 1 at 4:10 p.m.

Bug causes driver to ‘ditch’ car

A 27-year-old Plainfield man escaped injury when he drove his vehicle into a ditch on Route 30 at Harvey Road in Oswego Aug. 29 at 11:26 p.m., according to Oswego police. Police said the man told officers he became distracted when he discovered that a bug was crawling on him.

Hit-and-run reported

A St. Charles resident told Oswego police that a semitrailer backed into her SUV on Route 30 at Route 34 at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 1 and then drove off without leaving any information.

Elgin man faces charges

Oswego police arrested Quanson C. Carlisle, 37, of the 100 block of Seneca Street, Elgin, at a residence in the 300 block of Wolverine Drive Sept. 1 at 1:57 a.m. on charges of criminal damage to property, possession of between 30 and 100 grams of cannabis and driving on a suspended license.

Domestic battery arrest

Oswego police arrested Sarah E. Taylor, 27, of the 500 block of Lincoln Station Drive, Oswego, on a charge of domestic battery at her residence Aug. 29 at 6:24 p.m. Police said Taylor is scheduled to appear in court on the charge later this month.

Bicycle theft reported

Oswego police took a report of a bicycle theft at a residence on Millstream Lane Sept. 3 at 1:30 p.m.

One hurt, one cited in crash

An Oswego resident, Adam J. Weaver, 24, was injured in a two-vehicle crash at Orchard Road and Route 34 in Oswego Aug. 31 at 2:49 p.m., according to village police. Police said Weaver was not transported to a hospital. The juvenile driver of the other vehicle was ticketed for failure to yield, police said.

OHS disorderly incident

Oswego police took a report of a disorderly conduct incident involving three juvenile students at Oswego High School Aug. 29 at 8 a.m. No arrests were made.

Warrant arrest

Oswego police arrested Letica M. Neal, 32, of the 300 block of Wolverine Drive on a warrant at her home Sept. 1 at 1:11 a.m. Police said Neal was transported to the county jail in Yorkville pending court proceedings.

Threats made, police told

Oswego police are investigating an incident in which patrons of a fitness facility in the 4500 block of Route 71 became involved in an argument during which threats were made. Police said the investigation is continuing.

Warrant arrest

Oswego police arrested Luis Felipe Nunez-Guardado, 27, of Aurora, at a business in the 1600 block of Douglas Road Aug. 27 at 9:30 p.m. Police said Nunez-Guardado was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a prior charge.

OEHS battery reported

Oswego police are investigating a battery that occurred Aug. 30 at 5:50 p.m. at Oswego East High School. Police said a 14-year-old boy was injured in the incident but was not transported to an area hospital.

Disorderly at football game

Oswego police reported Aug. 30 that they took a report of a disorderly conduct incident during the Aug. 25 football game at Oswego High School. No arrests were made.

Alcohol charge

Oswego police cited Ryan T. Griesmann, 19, of the 0-10 block of Settlers Lane, Oswego, with unlawful consumption of alcohol on Reservation Road at Settlers Lane Sept. 3 at 4 a.m.

Motorist facing charges

Oswego police ticketed Ali Aruna, 38, of the 1300 block of Monomoy Street, Aurora, after stopping his vehicle on Orchard Road at Lewis Street Sept. 1 at 9:40 p.m. Police said Aruna received driving on a suspended license and speeding citations.

Motorist cited

Oswego police ticketed Pamela E. Heath, 62, of the 300 block of East Benton Street, Oswego, Sept. 1 at 12:10 p.m. after stopping her vehicle on Tyler Street at Ashland Avenue. Police said Heath faces charges of driving without a valid license and speeding.

Lawn lights disappear

Lawn lights valued at $100 were reported stolen from in front of a residence in the 100 block of Chesterfield Drive in Oswego Aug. 29, Oswego police reported. Police said the theft occurred Aug. 26.

Vehicle burglary

A vehicle parked on Springbrook Trail South near Farmington Lakes Drive in Oswego was burglarized Aug. 29. Police said property was taken from the vehicle, which had been left unlocked.

License violation

Oswego police ticketed Aubree Moore, 18, of the 6800 block of Route 71, Yorkville, after stopping her vehicle on Douglas Road at Fuller Avenue Aug. 29 at 3:09 p.m. Police said Moore has been charged with driving on a suspended license.

Motorist ticketed

Oswego police ticketed Pablo Cortez, 63 of Naperville, for driving without a valid license and illegal use of a cellphone after stopping his vehicle on Douglas Road at North Merchants Drive Sept. 2 at 10:20 a.m.

Motorist charged

Oswego police ticketed Sergio V. Salinas-Mendoza, 33, of the 200 block of Fourth Street, Aurora, after stopping the vehicle he was driving on Douglas Road at Old Post Road. Police said Salinas-Mendoza was charged with driving without a valid license.

Juvenile faces charge

Oswego arrested a juvenile after stopping the vehicle he was driving Aug. 29 at 4:40 p.m. on Waterbury Circle at Wingate Drive. Police said the juvenile was charged with driving without a valid license.

Speeding, license violations

Oswego police ticketed William G. Strader, 42, of the 800 block of Hampton Drive, Yorkville, after stopping the vehicle he was driving on Route 71 at Washington Street Aug. 29 at 11:24 a.m. Police said Strader was cited for speeding and driving without a valid license.
