NEW LENOX – Silver Cross Hospital is pleased to announce Vincent Pryor has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer effective Sept. 11.
Pryor, 53, replaces John Krepps who announced his intent to retire earlier this year after 22 years of service to Silver Cross.
Pryor has worked in health care for 30 years with extensive experience in finance, accounting, capital structure, investments, population health, operational improvement, reimbursement, managed care, strategic planning, information technology and administration.
Most recently, he served as system executive vice president and chief financial officer for Edward-Elmhurst Health after the merger of Edward Hospital & Health Services and Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare in 2013.
Before joining EHSC, Pryor was senior vice president of finance and CFO at Ingalls Health System in Harvey, CFO/vice president of finance at Provena Hospitals in Frankfort and vice president of managed care and chief operating officer of management services organization for LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, Indiana.
The Orland Park resident is a fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and served as president of HFMA’s First Illinois Chapter in 2006-2007.
In 2011, he was the recipient of the prestigious Founders Medal of Honor from the First Illinois Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. The award is the HFMA’s highest honor of the First Illinois Chapter.
Pryor has served as a member of the Illinois Hospital Association Policy Committee and Chairman of IHA Business Solutions Board. In 2012, he was recognized as CFO of the Year by the Daily Herald Business Ledger.
