GHS head boys basketball coach job goes to Hennig

GENEVA – Scott Hennig, the Geneva High School chairman of physical education, health and driver’s education, has been named the new head boys basketball coach, officials announced in a news release.

Hennig has been an assistant coach for the past eight years for girls golf, baseball and basketball.

GHS Athletic Director Dave Carli stated in the release that Hennig was selected for the role after an extensive search and in-depth interview process.

“Mr. Hennig is highly respected among the faculty, staff and the student athletes here at Geneva High School as a teacher and coach,” Carli stated in the release. “He is skilled at building the kinds of relationships needed to run a strong, successful athletic program, and we look forward to having him at the helm of the boys basketball team.”
