Raising Cane’s donates $14,000 to Morton East, West for scoreboards

In appreciation of the community support it has received since entering the Chicago area, Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers recently donated $14,000 to replace two scoreboards at Morton East and West high schools, according to a news release from the restaurant.

Raising Cane’s founder and CEO Todd Graves presented the check May 4 at the restaurant in North Riverside.

The funds will be used to replace two scoreboards – one at the softball field at Morton East in Cicero and the other at the soccer field at Morton West in Berwyn, the release stated.

Raising Cane’s opened its first Chicago-area location at 2514 Harlem Ave. in North Riverside in January.

“We are excited to finally make our way to Chicago and look forward to being part of the local communities,” Graves said in the release. “We appreciate the warm welcome we’ve received with our three Raising Cane’s restaurants now open across Chicagoland. I’m looking forward to visiting the area on Thursday to meet customers and show our support for local organizations."
