Dundee-Crown’s Katlin Skibinski and Braylin Mensik each scored two goals Thursday as the Chargers beat Hampshire, 5-0, in a Fox Valley Conference match at Dundee-Crown.
Taylor Coffman scored the opening goal for the Chargers (4-3, 2-0) just four minutes into the contest, before Skibinski and Mensik each scored a pair. Anna Kietyka assisted on two of the goals while Rylee Quillen and Kendall Kieltyka each had an assist.
Dundee-Crown goalkeepers Diana Santillan-Ceja and Taylor Gonio combined on the shutout, with Santillan-Ceja making a pair of saves.
Richmond-Burton 3, Harvard 0: At Richmond-Burton, Anna Blaney scored two of the Rockets' three first-half goals, leading the hosts to a Kishwaukee River Conference win over the Hornets. Bre Retherford scored the opening goal, assisted by Gabby Ross, before Blaney netted her two – with assists from Ross and Angelica Mrugala.
R-B goalkeeper Bridget Mason wasn’t forced into making a save in the shutout for the Rockets (4-0, 4-0).
Johnsburg 4, Woodstock North 0: At Woodstock, Taylor Piggott had a goal and an assist as the Skyhawks (2-3, 2-2) beat the Thunder in a KRC match. Piggott opened the scoring in the 13th minute with an assist from Kassie Hass. Maddie Peterson made it 2-0 before halftime and then Kaitlyn Owen and Amber Humphres scored the fourth goal with an assist from Piggott.
Johnsburg goalkeeper Jessica Strzelczyk made five saves in the shutout.
Crystal Lake South 2, Wauconda 2: At Crystal Lake, Taylor Bittenbender scored twice in the first half, but the Gators surrendered a pair of goals in the final 15 minutes, the second coming with just over six minutes to play, and had to settle for a nonconference draw with the Bulldogs. Jenna Ross and Emily Warren assisted on Bittenbender's goals as the sophomore staked South a 2-0 lead at halftime. Goalkeeper Annika Sevcik made three saves in goal.
