Four people hurt in weekend rollover

OGLE COUNTY – Authorities say four people suffered apparently non-life-threatening injuries Saturday in a single-vehicle rollover crash in the 16500 block of state Route 72 West.

Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded at 5:25 p.m. A westbound vehicle driven by Ryan Hatheway, 25, of Lanark, crossed the eastbound lane and entered the south ditch, struck a culvert, and rolled several times.

Hatheway, and his passengers, Abigail Hatheway, 24, of Lanark, and two children, were taken to FHN Memorial Hospital in Freeport. Their conditions were unavailable Sunday. Forreston and Shannon fire and emergency medical services personnel assisted at the scene.

Dirt bike driver injured in accident

OGLE COUNTY – A Rochelle man suffered minor injuries Wednesday in the 11000 block of East Kyle Road while riding a dirt bike.

Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies responded at 3:52 p.m. A bike driven by Andrew Shultz, 19, was eastbound on Kyle Road when Shultz struck the guardrail at the road’s dead end. He was taken by Rochelle Ambulance to Rochelle Community Hospital, where his condition was unavailable Sunday.
