Kane County Sheriff's Office reports

• Curtis F. Lippold, 27, of the 0-99 block of Gastville Street, Aurora, was charged Jan. 26 with driving on a suspended license, operating an uninsured vehicle and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident along Route 47 in Sugar Grove.

• Guadalupe Gutierrez, 19, of the 100 block of North Summer Avenue, Aurora, was charged Jan. 26 with driving without a valid driver's license and speeding 101 mph in a 45 mph zone along Kirk Road in Batavia.

• Fraud was reported Jan. 18 in the 5N800 block of Kingswood Drive, St. Charles. A sheriff's office report stated a resident received a call from someone who claimed his grandson was in jail and in need of $4,500. The caller instructed the resident to buy $4,500 in gift cards from Best Buy, the report stated.

• Vicki L. Crombleholme, 54, of the 1000 block of Mark Street, South Elgin, was arrested Jan. 28 on a DuPage County warrant for failure to appear in court.

• Identity theft was reported Jan. 28 in the 39W500 block of Schoolhouse Lane, Geneva. A sheriff's office report stated a Comcast account was opened without authorization.

• Criminal trespassing was reported Jan. 29 in the 39W700 block of Campton Hills Drive, St. Charles.

• Jeffrey D. Summers, 59, of the 10N800 block of Rippburger Road, Plato Center, was charged Jan. 30 with domestic battery. A sheriff's office report stated he kicked the victim in the right side of the chest.

• Theft was reported Jan. 31 in the 1S400 block of Wyatt Drive, Geneva. A sheriff's office report stated a ring valued at about $800 was stolen.
