SHOREWOOD – A Plainfield man has been charged in a weekend fight outside a Shorewood bar that resulted in an injured victim and a broken window.
James M. Slivka, 21, turned himself in to Shorewood police Sunday night, Deputy Chief Eric Allen said. Slivka faces four felony charges of aggravated battery and a misdemeanor charge of criminal damage to property, according to Will County jail records.
The fight occurred just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot outside Skooter's Roadhouse in the 700 block of West Jefferson Street, Allen has said. When police arrived at the scene, they found a 21-year-old injured man and a broken window in the neighboring Frosty Tips ice cream shop.
The victim was taken to the emergency room at Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. His condition has stabilized.
Slivka, of the 5300 block of Kingsbury Estates, spent the majority of Monday in Will County jail, according to jail records, but has since been released.
