Plano High School recently announced its students and staff of the month for October.
PHS staff nominated students for Student of the Month for the month of October. Students are nominated for PRIDE behavior (Personal Responsibility, Respect, Involved Academically, Demonstrates safe behavior, and Excellence in what they do).
Some reasons for nomination include exemplifying determination and perseverance by striving for excellence in classes, helping other students, great work ethic, displaying positive attitude through actions, participating in class, working hard and taking education seriously.
Students of the Month of October are Jacqueline Escareno, Cassi Miles, Cody Nebel, Curtis Brey, Jordan Wade, Grayce Gatza, Aubrey Flodstrom, Kayvon Crenshaw, Alexis Alamos and James Frederick.
Students and administration nominated staff members for Staff Member of the Month for October. Reasons for nomination can include balancing different responsibilities along with extracurricular activities, continued support and dedication to our students, excellent work with the band for Homecoming and parade, and handling unexpected challenges.
Staff Members of the Month for October are Lisa Esmond, Jessica Dellorto, Mary Rose Coker and Susan Webb.
Students and staff members received a certificate and a breakfast in their honor.
The staff and student members for the month process is coordinated by Kate Collingbourne, social worker with Student Services at Plano High School. This process is part of the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) in place at Plano High School.
