PRINCETON — Kurt W. Martin, 54, of Princeton passed away Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at his home in Princeton.
He was born Dec. 22, 1961, in Princeton to Donald W. Martin and Lynne E. Martin.
He was self-employed and the owner of Arc One Welding. He graduated from Tiskilwa High School in 1980 and attended Illinois Valley Community College for two years, earning an associates degree.
He was a member of Christ Community Church in Princeton.
Surviving are his parents; one son, Joshua W. Martin of Princeton; one brother, Kevin (Jackie) Martin of Princeton; one nephew, Noah Martin of Princeton; and a friend, Jerry Ann Sullivan.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard and Opal Martin, Florence Padget and Elmer Freeberg.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, at Christ Community Church in Princeton with Pastor Brian Strom officiating. Burial will follow.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the church.
In lieu of flowers, a trust for his son, Joshua W. Martin, has been set up.
