River Place apartment building in downtown McHenry for sale

McHENRY – River Place Luxury Residences, a 27-unit apartment building in downtown McHenry, is up for sale.

River Place, 1112 N. Green St., is located directly on the Fox River at the Green Street bridge. According to a news release, Roy Blavvise, managing member of the ownership group, said the asking price for the luxury apartment complex is about $6 million.

“In my opinion, River Place Luxury Residences is the finest building in McHenry,” Blavvise said in a news release. “It was built to condominium standards, which has made it attractive to renters and could be important to new owners planning to take advantage of the growing demand for condos.”

River Place has one- and two-bedroom apartments with stainless and granite kitchens and baths. The building is pet-friendly and also features a business center, rooftop deck and state-of-the-art fitness center. River Place also is close to many of downtown McHenry’s dining and entertainment facilities.

“The building has been doing what its intention was, which is bringing people downtown, providing plenty of living for people downtown and allowing new businesses to locate on Green Street,” Economic Development Director Douglas Martin said.

The four-story structure occupies a full block along Green Street and contains about 20,000 square feet of ground-floor retail in addition to its residential space. Some of its popular tenants include Buddyz Pizzeria, Edward Jones & Company, and Kiera Confections.

The property is owned by Brown Gibbons Lang Company of Chicago. Managing directors Chris Sackley and Bill Montana are the property's brokers. Those interested in the property for sale can get additional information by emailing Sackley at csackley@bglco.com or calling him at 630-288-2448.
