NEW LENOX _ Dr. Farooq Hussain has recently joined Primary Care Professionals (Drs. Thomas Lee, Jinsup Kim and Ramaraja Yalavarthi), located on the Silver Cross Hospital campus, Pavilion A, Suite 370, New Lenox.

Board certified in both family medicine and geriatric medicine, Hussain has over 10 years of experience caring for patients of all ages.

Hussain attended medical school at Deccan College of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad, India.  He completed his family practice residency with North Central Texas Medical Foundation, affiliated with University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Wichita Falls, Texas.

He then completed a geriatrics fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center and Hines Veterans Administration Hospital. For the past two years, Hussain has been treating patients with Carle Physician Group in Urbana, Illinois, where he was recognized in 2015 and 2016 with the Gold Star Appreciation Award for best patient care.

Hussain is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Illinois Academy of Family Physicians, American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin and Andhra Pradesh Medical Council in India.
