Centegra to host open house at Family Birth Center at Huntley hospital

HUNTLEY – Centegra Health System will host an open house from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the new Family Birth Center at Centegra Hospital – Huntley, 10400 Haligus Road.

Those planning a family are invited to attend tours, including parents, grandparents and siblings, according to a news release from the health system. Registration is required by calling 877-236-8347 or by visiting Centegra's website at www.centegra.org/obtour. The last tour begins at 7:30 p.m.

The hospital’s clinical care team will be there to discuss family planning with expecting mothers.

“Our team has years of experience in all types of labor and delivery situations,” Joan Stout, assistant director of women’s services, said in a news release. “We keep mothers and babies safe, and we know how to quickly respond to the needs of a patient.”

Light refreshments will be served and there also will be a raffle.

Earlier this year, Centegra announced a partnership with Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago to provide 24-hour pediatric hospitalist coverage. During the Wednesday tours, guests also can view the Centegra Hospital – Huntley pediatric unit and emergency department and meet the team, the news release said.

Centegra Hospital – Huntley is scheduled to open Aug. 9.
