Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox announces new room service program

NEW LENOX – Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox recently implemented the hospital’s new patient room service program called Season’s Bedside Dining.

The Season’s Bedside Dining program is a high tech, hospitality-style dining process, similar to an upscale hotel that allows patients to order what food they want (within diet restrictions), how they want it and when they want it.

Patients can choose from an extensive menu available in their rooms, which features a wide range of options, such as an assortment of cheeses and fruits, made-to-order salads, customized omelets, personal pizzas and grill items, as well as traditional entrees like grilled chicken, meatloaf and salmon.

Options also include choices for patients on a clear liquid diet and full liquid diet.

Oftentimes patients’ family members and visiting friends don’t want to leave the patient alone in their room. To accommodate this desire, they may also order from the room service menu for a fee.

The Silver Cross room service program is available to eligible patients from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
