Zerneck named Freedom House executive director

PRINCETON — The executive board of Freedom House, a domestic and sexual violence service agency in Princeton, has announced Michael Zerneck has accepted the position of executive director.

Prior to joining Freedom House, Zerneck was the associate director of CASA of Peoria County. He also had served as the CEO of NCM Nexus, a health care advertising company with offices in New York and Peoria.

Zerneck has served on the boards of the Brooklyn (N.Y.) Public Library Foundation and the Artecel Sciences, a biotech firm in Durham, N.C. He moved to Peoria in 2004 with his wife and children.

Zerneck will begin serving his new position as executive director on May 16.
