WOODSTOCK – A McHenry County judge sentenced a Woodstock man to one year of probation after he admitted to cyberstalking a 16-year-old girl.
Francisco J. Jimenez, 25, pleaded guilty Monday to the amended charge of cyberstalking, a Class 4 felony. McHenry County Judge Michael Feetterer accepted the plea agreement.
In exchange for pleading guilty, Jimenez will serve one year of probation, pay a $500 fine and complete all treatment pursuant to a psychiatric evaluation. He also was sentenced to 30 days in the McHenry County Correctional Facility and will receive credit for two days served. The rest of the sentence will be stayed pending further issues, according to the state's attorney's office.
Assistant State's Attorney Randi Freese said Jimenez used electronic communication to discuss a sexual act with a minor.
Jimenez, of the 2200 block of Applewood Lane, was arrested in December 2013 and charged with soliciting child pornography, a Class 1 felony, and enticing a child to remove clothes, a misdemeanor, after he allegedly coerced a 16-year-old girl to send a pornographic image of herself and she complied, police said.
