Yorkville's Knauf wins national title

Alex Knauf, 14 of Yorkville, recently competed in the Scholastic National Judo Championships in Dallas, Texas. This is a top national tournament drawing athletes from across the United States.

Knauf went 4-0 and won the national title. He was not scored on in any of his matches. This was his 10th USA Judo National Championship title. He trains with his father, Dennis Knauf, at Illinois Elite Judo Training Center in Yorkville and at Tohkon Judo Academy in Chicago.
