Spirit Cheer teams place in Schaumburg

Spirit Cheerleading competed in the GLCC Showdown at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center last weekend. Spirit took eight teams – six full season and two prep teams.

Spirits prep teams Frenzy and Ambition both won first place and the Spirit award. All six full season teams placed. Envy won sixth place, Team Pride won fifth place, Team Inspire won third place, Team Legacy won second place, and teams Passion and Int3nsity won first place. As the competition season schedule comes to an end, Spirit will enter the American Championships next weekend, the US Finals and Summit in April, and Spirit’s local spring rec competition in May.

Correction: Spirit Cheerleading's most recent team recap omitted the placement of Team Passion in Atlanta, Ga. at Cheersport. The squad captured fourth place in the large event.
