Oswego Police reports

Domestic arrest

Oswego Police arrested Dennis M. Osborne, 41, of the 1200 block of Bangs Street, Aurora, at U.S. Route 30 and Fifth Street Feb. 12 at 7:45 p.m. on a charge of domestic battery. Police said the victim in the incident was not injured.

Bristol resident injured

A Bristol resident, Gina M. Rismondo, 18, of the 20th block of Brookside Drive, received minor injuries when she lost control of her vehicle due to snowy roadway conditions and it struck another vehicle on Galena Road near Concord Drive in Oswego Feb. 15 at 7 a.m., village police reported.

Police said the driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash, Christopher T. Scotti, 31, of Wick Way, Montgomery, was not injured.

Rismondo was treated for her injuries at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, police said.

Minkler Road crash

Oswego Police investigated a single vehicle crash on Minkler Road near Country Lane in the village Feb. 14 at 5:31 p.m. Police said the motorist involved in the crash was not hurt, but damage to her vehicle was estimated at over $1,500.

Vehicle hits utility pole

A section of Wolf's Crossing Road in Oswego was temporarily closed to traffic Friday afternoon following a two vehicle property damage accident on the road at an entrance/exit drive to Oswego East High School, village police reported.

Police identified the two motorists involved in the 2:55 p.m. crash as Kevin M. Scott, 18, of the 1900 block of Sedgegrass Trail, Aurora, and Demitra J. Bell, 2600 Showplace Drive, Naperville.

Police said Scott's vehicle struck a utility pole.

Vehicle strikes sign, flees

An unknown black vehicle struck a directional sign on U.S. Route 34 and Ill. Route 25 in Oswego Feb. 14 at 11:47 a.m. and then fled the scene, village police reported.

Grove hit and run

Oswego Police are investigating a hit and run accident involving a parked car in the 3700 block of Grove Road near Arboretum Way in the village Feb. 14 at 4:17 p.m. Police said damage to the victim's vehicle was estimated at over $1,000.

Juvenile arrested

Oswego Police arrested a juvenile for driving without a valid driver's license on Douglas Road at U.S. Route 34 in the village Feb. 13 at 10:54 p.m.

Faces battery charge

Oswego Police arrested Lauren I. Richard, 22, of the 15000 block of Hometown Drive, Plainfield, on Parkers Mill at Washington Street Feb. 14 at 6:25 p.m. on a charge of domestic battery.

Fraud report filed

A Boulder Hill resident filed a fraud report with Oswego Police Feb. 9. Police said the incident occurred at a business in the 2500 block of U.S. Route 30 in the village Feb. 1.

Cannabis arrest

Oswego Police arrested Antonio Taylor, Jr., 21, of the 1700 block of Ravine Park Lane, Aurora, and Jesus M. Cepeda, 21, of the 500 block of Seventh Avenue, Aurora, on charges of unlawful possession of cannabis.

Mailbox damaged

A mailbox was found damaged in front of a residence in the 200 block of Bluegrass Parkway in Oswego Feb. 9, village police reported.

Vehicle burglarized

Property worth $444 was stolen from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the 500 block of Lincoln Station Drive in Oswego Feb. 10, village police reported.

Hit and run reported

Oswego Police took a report of a hit and run crash on U.S. Route 30 at Fifth Street in the village Feb. 9 at 9:11 p.m. Police said damage to the victim's vehicle totaled in excess of $1,500.

Checking account fraud

Oswego Police took a report of fraudulent activity involving a business checking account at a business in the 2200 block of U.S. Route 30 on the village Feb. 10.

Route 71 head-on

Oswego Police responded to a head-on collision on Ill. Route 71 north of Orchard Road in the village Feb. 10 at 11 a.m.

Police identified the two drivers involved in the crash as Francis Nichols, 28, of the 2900 block of 24th Road, Marseilles, and Joan Coy, 62, of the 300 block of Blossom Lane, Oswego.

Police said the accident occurred when Nichols' vehicle, crossed the double center yellow line while traveling north on route 71 and collided with Coy's vehicle.

Police said both motorists escaped serious injury.

Warrant arrest

Oswego Police arrested Shenique S. Hamlin, 38, of Woodford Road, Oswego, on an in-state warrant at the village police station Feb. 11. Police said the suspect posted bond and was released pending a court appearance.

Warrant arrest

Oswego Police arrested Katie A. Rivera, 31, of Oswego, on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a prior charge Feb. 11 at 2:02 p.m. in the 3500 block of U.S. Route 34 in the village. Police said the suspect posted bond and was released pending a court appearance March 7.

Traffic citations issued

Oswego Police issued traffic citations to the following motorists over the past week:

Robert F. Voltz, 55, of the 6000 block of 175th Street, Tinley Park, driving while license suspended and disobeying a traffic control device.

Denise Hartman, 57, of Montgomery, no valid driver's license and driving without a seatbelt.

Brenda A. Lopez, 19, of the 100 block of Tealwood Road, Boulder Hill, driving while license suspended.

Basilio Valdez. 43, of the 2800 block of Troon Drive, Montgomery, no valid driver's license and driving with one tail light.

Ryan R. Egan, 19, of the 2600 block of Moss Drive, Aurora, driving while license suspended.
