License violation
Christine C. Smith, 47, of the 32W400 block of Forest Drive, Aurora, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a one-car crash at about 2:55 p.m. Dec. 28 in the 5800 block of Grove Road in Na-Au-Say Township, Kendall County sheriff’s police said. According to reports, deputies responded to a report of a car in a ditch. Smith also was charged with operating an uninsured motor vehicle, reports said.
One-car crash
Patricia D. Wheeler, 57, of the 4200 block of Wheeler Road, Yorkville, was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center by a family member after a one-car crash at about 4:40 p.m. Dec. 28 in the 6900 block of Schlapp Road in Na-Au-Say Township, Kendall County sheriff’s police said.
Warrant arrest
Jason J. Campbell, 32, of the 600 block of East Lee Street, Plano, was found to be wanted in Pope County on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of unlawful take/possession of a deer, Kendall County sheriff’s police said. Campbell was stopped for a traffic violation at about 8:15 a.m. Dec. 22 at Eldamain and Galena roads in Bristol Township, reports said.
Burglary
Someone entered a trailer between Dec. 16 and 22 in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road, Bristol Township, and took electronics valued at about $950 and caused about $700 in damage to the property, the owner told Kendall County sheriff’s police.
License violation
Jared A. Williams, 25, of the 0-99 block of Benton Street, Yorkville, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop at about 8:15 p.m., Dec. 22 at Fernwood and Greenbriar roads in Boulder Hill, Kendall County sheriff’s police said. Williams also was cited for having no insurance and expired registration, police said.
Warrant arrest
Charles R. Matlock, 54, of Williford, Ark., was found to be wanted on a Kendall County warrant for failure to appear on a charge of domestic battery at about 12:45 a.m. Dec. 23 in the 3900 block of Cannonball Trail, Kendall County sheriff’s police said.

Enrique Vazquez-Ortega, 31, of the 300 block of North River Street, Montgomery, was charged with driving on a suspended license, disobeying a stop sign, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after a traffic stop at about 9:30 p.m. Dec. 23 at Boulder Hill Pass and Route 25 in Oswego Township, Kendall County sheriff’s police said.

Ricky V. Rodriguez-Torres, 23, of the 0-99 block of North Highland Avenue, Aurora, was charged with driving on a revoked license, unlawful display of registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at about 12:25 a.m. Dec. 25 in the 0-99 block of Boulder Hill Pass, Kendall County sheriff’s police said.
Firearm missing
A firearm was reported taken during a residential burglary between 10 p.m. Dec. 23 and 12:55 a.m. Dec. 24 in the 0-99 block of Lyncliff Drive, Oswego Township, Kendall County sheriff’s police said.
Hit-and-run
Someone struck a parked vehicle at about 3:45 p.m. Dec. 24 in the 100 block of Boulder Hill Pass and left the scene, the owner told Kendall County sheriff’s police.
DUI charge
Shannon G. Akre, 43, of Coal City, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after a rollover crash at about 10:35 p.m. Dec. 24 in the 14900 block of Townhouse Road in Big Grove Township, Kendall County sheriff’s police said. According to reports, Akre was taken to Morris Hospital for treatment and, after being released, was taken to the Kendall County Jail for booking.
Hit-and-run
Someone struck a parked van at about 4:30 a.m. Dec. 26 in the 100 block of Tealwood Road, Boulder Hill, and then left the scene, the owner told Kendall County sheriff’s police.
DUI charge
Jay J. Turner, 45, of the 4000 block of East 29th Road, Sandwich, was charged with DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane usage after a one-car crash at about 9:20 p.m. Dec. 26 in the 15400 block of Millhurst Road in Fox Township, Kendall County sheriff’s police said. Turner was not injured in the incident, reports said.
Juvenile charged
A 17-year-old male was charged with speeding at about 7:40 p.m. Dec. 27 at Route 31 and West Anchor Drive in Oswego Township, Kendall County sheriff’s police said. According to reports, the juvenile was driving 42 mph over the posted speed limit.
Identity theft
Someone used a Yorkville man’s credit card at several online retailers without authorization between Dec. 24 and 27, Kendall County sheriff’s police said.
Burglary
Someone broke into a camper between Nov. 1 and Dec. 27 in the 8000 block of Van Emmon Road in Oswego Township, the owner told Kendall County sheriff’s police. The incident is under investigation, reports said.
One injured
Patricia L. Zentmyer, 72, of the 0-99 block of Chrissy, Sandwich, was injured in a one-car crash at about 6:45 a.m. Dec. 27 in the 5100 block of Route 34 in Oswego Township, Kendall County sheriff’s police said. According to reports, the driver, Morgan F. Zentmyer, lost control of the vehicle on the shoulder and it struck a tree. Patricia Zentmyer, who was a passenger, was transported to Rush-Copley Medical Center in Aurora with non-incapacitating injuries, according to the police report.
Burglary
Kendall County sheriff’s police are investigating a residential burglary that occurred Dec. 20 or 21 in the 200 block of Fernwood Road in Boulder Hill, according to reports.
Burglary to storage
Someone entered four storage units between Dec. 20 and 21 at a facility in the 100 block of Route 30 in Oswego Township, Kendall County sheriff’s police said. It has not been determined what items are missing and the investigation is continuing, reports said.
Residential burglary
Someone entered a home between Dec. 20 and 21 in the 200 block of Fernwood Road, Boulder Hill, the owner told Kendall County sheriff’s police. Nothing appeared to be missing from the residence, according to the report.
License violation
Martiniano Flores-Cecilio, 53, of the 900 block of Liberty Street, Aurora, was charged with having no valid driver’s license after a traffic stop at about 9:45 p.m. Dec. 28 at Route 25 and North Street in Oswego Township, Kendall County sheriff’s police said. Flores-Cecilio also was cited for improper lane usage and failure to properly secure a child under 8 years old, reports said.
Cellphone use
Esteban Sosa, 47, of the 500 block of Simms Street, Aurora, was charged with driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop at about 12:40 a.m. Dec. 29 at Douglas Road and Townes Crossing in Oswego Township, Kendall County sheriff's police said. According to reports, Sosa was stopped because he was talking on a cellphone while driving.
