Rocket Fizz St. Charles Festival of Fun set for Sunday

ST. CHARLES – The Rocket Fizz St. Charles Festival of Fun and Walt Disney Birthplace Fundraiser events are set for Sunday, Dec. 6, with events at Rocket Fizz, at 301 W. Main St., and Shakou, at 312 W Main St., both in St. Charles.

From 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Rocket Fizz, store owner Robert Brescia and store manager Deanna Brescia invite those interested to celebrate Walt Disney's 114th birthday at their St. Charles location, with Rocket Fizz and O-Zell soda. O-Zell soda was originally started by Elias Disney, Walt’s father, and Brescia's Rocket Fizz stores in St Charles and Glenview have this hard-to-find soda, according to a news release.

The first 25 people to purchase a case of O-Zell soda will receive a special gift. There will be four varieties. Attendees will meet Disney legends and "a magical balloon man." A magician, Adam Sean, will also be on hand. After the festival, the O-Zell Soda Pairing, Cocktail Party and Walt Disney Birthplace Fundraiser takes place at Shakou St. Charles. That event is sold out.
