Lazarus House in St. Charles has won an AT&T Investing in Illinois Award for its nonprofit work to help people in the state, according to a news release.
Lazarus House will receive $1,000 from AT&T to be used to provide emergency shelter, transitional housing and homeless prevention services to those in crisis.
“There are great nonprofit organizations improving lives in Illinois,” Jaci Kator, an external affairs manager for AT&T, said in the release. “By supporting these organizations, we’re strengthening the communities we serve.”
State Sen. Karen McConnaughay nominated Lazarus House for the recognition from AT&T Illinois, according to the release.
The AT&T Investing in Illinois Award provides resources and recognition to organizations and programs that improve lives in their communities and the state. They’re advancing education, economic growth, new technologies and other essential community services, the release stated.
