OGLESBY — The Illinois Small Business Development Center at Illinois Valley Community College has released the names of this year’s 40 Under Forty class.
"The honorees are the region’s leaders within their respected industries. This year’s recipients come from various professions in our region, from entrepreneurs, educators, law enforcement, executives of non-profits and professional services,” said ISBDC business specialist Gina Czubachowski.
All nominations were accompanied by letters of recommendation from individuals who knew the honorees from employment or volunteer organizations. Nominees are 39 or younger as of Dec. 31, 2015, and live or work in Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall or Putnam counties.
“Honorees are involved in their communities and are the next generation of positive movers and shakers in our region,” said ISBDC director Bev Malooley.
2015 honorees are:
Earlville: Jenette Fruit.
LaSalle: Corey Andreoni, Javier Casas, Chris Duncan, Matt Darnell, Dylan Kemmerer and Kayli Magnafici.
Mendota: Jesse Arellano, Clint O'Brien and Nick Organ.
Oglesby: Rachel Dawson and Nathan Senica.
Ottawa: Christina Cantlin, Dave Hall, Sally Hall, Riley Hintzsche, Melissa Hulse, Laura Johnson, Rachel Martin, Rook Nelson and Alex Spencer.
Peru: Nick Biagioni, Tim Freed, Jason Leone, Clayton Theisinger and Frances Whaley.
Princeton: Kendra Bierbom and Mindy Fritz.
Spring Valley: Christine Eimer and Dr. Allison Spayer.
Streator: Dawn Mueller, Katie Muntz, Tiffany Park and Michael Volkman.
Sublette: Valery Klein.
Utica: Jen Cetwinski, Matt Cetwinski, Justin Durdan, Dr. Michael Gergovich and Allison Kay Nichols.
The annual “40 Under Forty” award recognizes leaders, business owners and community volunteers who make the community a better place to live and work. Now in its fifth year, the initiative has recognized more than 200 young professionals.
