Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans dedicates backyard patio at Wheaton's Larson home

WHEATON – The Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans dedicated a new patio and backyard space to its Marine Lance Cpl. Nicholas Larson Home.

The nonprofit’s two founders, Dirk Enger and Bob Adams, both were on hand at the Sept. 12 ribbon-cutting ceremony, with the former getting special recognition with a new bench dedicated in his name.

Several individuals and groups also donated special pavers to the veterans memorial patio and landscaping, while much of the cost of the project was funded in part by the Doyle Family Foundation.
