SYCAMORE – Police are working with DeKalb County Crime Stoppers to investigate a burglary at Ollie’s Frozen Custard in Sycamore.
Sycamore police responded Monday to a burglary report at Ollie’s Frozen Custard of Sycamore Inc., 2290 Oakland Drive. Police believe the burglary happened between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday, Sycamore Detective Sgt. Rod Swartzendruber said.
The burglars entered the business while no one was there and stole an undisclosed amount of money and shop equipment, Swartzendruber said.
Ollie’s was closed Monday with its telephone line and credit-card machine down as a result of the burglary, owner Joe Craden said.
No credit card information was breached, and the store’s phone line and credit-card machine were expected to be up and running again by Tuesday afternoon, Craden said.
Police plan to review local surveillance footage as the burglary remains under investigation, Swartzendruber said.
