Dr. Warren E. 'Doc' Bohnhoff

MORRISON – Dr. Warren E. "Doc" Bohnhoff, 86, of Morrison, died Monday, Aug. 24, 2015, at his home. He was a veterinarian in Morrison and Whiteside County. He later was a dairy nutritionist.

Doc was born Sept. 17, 1928, in Plymouth, Wisconsin, the son of Albert A. and Meada (Kaeding) Bohnhoff. He served in the Army during the Korean War. Doc married Rebecca C. Cureton. He married Bonnie K. (Card) Martin on Nov.16, 1984, in Morrison. He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Morrison.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; one daughter, Nancy (Jerry Smith) Bohnhoff of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one son, Brian Bohnhoff of Zephyrhills, Florida; two stepsons, Robert (Laura) Martin of Lake Elmo, Minnesota, and John (Brenda) Martin of Morrison; two stepdaughters, Wendy (Sonny) Sanders of Marion and Laurie (Guy) Kimura of Irvine, California; 12 stepgrandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pearl Bilgo and Helen Riley; and two brothers, Roy Bohnhoff and Wilbur Bohnhoff.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Morrison, with the Rev. Mark Winkelman, senior pastor, and the Rev. Mike Winkelman, associate pastor, co-officiating. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.

Memorials have been established to St. Peter Lutheran Church and Morrison Lions Club.
