Kenzley Group relocating, staying in downtown Dixon

DIXON – A downtown storefront formerly occupied by Quizno’s will have new occupants in December.

Kenzley Title Group is relocating after almost 15 years in Dixon. The group is remodeling the interior of 224 W. River St., just west of Kenzley’s current quarters at 87 S. Hennepin Ave.

The smaller space will better accommodate his business, owner Kevin Rudy said.

“It’s going to be suited for our specific needs in the title insurance business,” Rudy said. “It will be very tastefully done when complete.”

Its lease was up, but Kenzley, which also has offices in Byron, Oregon, and Rochelle, wanted to remain downtown, Rudy said. It will rent the space, which has been vacant since Quizno’s left in January 2011.

“With our business, it’s important that we’re close to the courthouse,” Rudy said. “But [local organizations] have made an effort to improve the downtown area with the riverfront, and we’re going to continue to support that.”
