Aggravated assault

Jennifer Algarin, 26, of the 7100 block of West Dickens Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 12:43 a.m. July 23 with aggravated assault for threatening two women with a baseball bat in the Mac Neal Hospital parking lot in the 3200 block of South Oak Park Avenue.

DUI

• David W. Fennema, 48, of the 4000 block of Forest Avenue, Western Springs, was charged at 11:14 p.m. July 27 with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, obstructing traffic and improper parking on a road at Euclid and Ogden avenues.

• Darrick A Jones, 45, of the 3100 block of South Scoville Avenue, Berwyn, was charged at 5:34 a.m. July 26 with two counts of DUI of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper parking on road in the 7000 block of Roosevelt Road.

• Brian Alanis, 22, of the 6700 block of West 31st Street, Berwyn, was charged at 6 a.m. July 26 with two counts of DUI of alcohol, improper lane use and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident in the 1600 block of South Oak Park Avenue.

• Derek Guzman, 27, of the 3400 block of South 57th Avenue, Cicero, was charged at 4:39 a.m. July 25 with two counts of DUI of alcohol, illegal transportation of liquor and improper parking in the 2100 block of South Gunderson Avenue.

• Wilfrido Alvarado, 44, of the 2600 block of South 59th Street, Cicero, was charged at 5:12 p.m. July 25 with aggravated DUI of alcohol, no proof of insurance, having a revoked driver’s license, disobeying a stop sign and failure to wear a seat belt in the 3600 block of Ridgeland Avenue.

Salvador Juarez-Lopez, 37, of the 13000 block of South Carondolet Avenue, Chicago, was charged at 1:12 a.m. July 23 with aggravated DUI of alcohol, two counts of improper lane use, no valid driver’s license and driving left of center at Highland and Ogden avenues.

• Thomas A. Paine, 45, of the 4100 block of South Home Avenue, Stickney, was charged at 11:56 p.m. July 22 with DUI of alcohol, driving without insurance and improper lane use at Ridgeland and Windsor avenues.

Burglary

• An attempted burglary was reported at 9:26 p.m. July 29 in the 1400 block of Wenonah Avenue. Windows were found removed from the basement, but nothing appeared to be missing.

• Three televisions, an xBox One game console and two International tattoo machines were reported stolen at 5:17 p.m. July 28 from a residence in the 3700 block of South Gunderson Avenue.

• A television and DVD player were reported stolen at 6:32 p.m. July 27 from a residence in the 6300 block of West 26th Street.

• Ten bowling balls and three bags valued at $1,680 were reported stolen at 1 p.m. July 27 from a garage in the 3100 block of South Grove Avenue.

• Tools, jewelry, money and electronics were reported stolen at 12:22 a.m. from a residence in the 1300 block of South Grove Avenue.

• An air compressor, studio lighting, camera battery packs, a bicycle and extension cords were reported stolen at 8:40 a.m. July 24 from a garage in the 1400 block of South Gunderson Avenue.

• A lawn mower, weed trimmer, hedge trimmer and garage door remote control were reported stolen at 10:35 p.m. July 22 from a garage in the 1800 block of South Scoville Avenue.

Theft

• Jose E. Garcia, 27, of the 1300 block of Clarence Avenue, Berwyn, was charged at 9:43 p.m.. July 25 with theft of lost or mislaid property after he was seen carrying two pieces of a traffic light at Wesley Avenue and 16th Street.

• A bicycle was reported stolen at 6:41 p.m. July 28 from the 6600 block of West Cermak Road.

• A bicycle was reported stolen at 1:04 a.m. July 27 from the 6300 block of West Cermak Road.

• A 2004 tan Buick was reported stolen at 11:30 p.m. July 28 from the 2100 block of South Kenilworth Avenue.

• A leaf blower was reported stolen at 10:27 a.m. July 27 from a trailer carrying landscape equipment in the area near Ridgeland Avenue and 18th Street.

• Copper tubing was reported stolen at 2 p.m. July 24 from an air conditioning unit to a residence in the 3700 block of South Gunderson Avenue.

• A bicycle was reported stolen at 2:20 p.m. July 27 from the 1500 block of South Cuyler Avenue.

• A red and black Leika Roma motorcycle was reported stolen at 6:42 a.m. July 25 in the 1900 block of South Wesley Avenue.

• A 1999, green Dodge Grand Caravan was reported stolen at 6:15 a.m. July 23 from the 1300 block of South Wesley Avenue.

Property damage

• Graffiti was reported July 25 in the 3700 block of South Home Avenue.

• Graffiti was reported July 23 in the 1900 block of South Scoville Avenue and the 1500 block of South Grove Avenue.

• A window was reported broken at 10:40 p.m. July 25 at Berwyn Toy Trains, 7025 W. Ogden Ave.
