Dawn Reglin, 40, of Manlius has announced her candidacy to seek the Democratic nomination for the office of Bureau County Circuit Clerk in the November 2016 election.
Reglin has been a deputy clerk in the Bureau County Circuit Clerk’s Office since 2005. She is experienced in all aspects of the office. During the last 10 years as deputy clerk, she has been trained in all departments within the office; some of her responsibilities have included scheduling court dates, judge’s clerk, disbursement of fine money, setting up account receivables, recording child support payments, filing new traffic/DUI, criminal and civil cases. She is also responsible for recording and reporting dispositions on felony, misdemeanor, traffic and civil cases.
“The circuit clerk plays a critical role in the daily operations of the court system. I am dedicated to upholding that service for the citizens of Bureau County. I have thorough knowledge of every aspect of the office and completely understand the importance of upholding the integrity of the court system and circuit clerk’s office,” Reglin said, adding, “I have an excellent working relationship with the elected officials of Bureau County. With my knowledge, dedication and experience, I am prepared on Day 1 to be Bureau County Circuit Clerk.”
Retired Bureau County Circuit Clerk Laurie E. Abraham said, “I am happy to support Dawn Reglin for circuit clerk. I have worked with Dawn for several years and know first-hand her ability to do the job. She has the experience and knowledge to do a great job as circuit clerk.”
Reglin resides in Manlius with her husband, Robert, and daughter, Carly.
“I am a life-long resident of Bureau County. I am running for circuit clerk to serve the people of Bureau County, my home,” she said.
Reglin is a graduate of Manlius High School and attended Sauk Valley Community College. She is an active member in her community as Manlius Township clerk, multi township treasurer, United Way Board member, BV Buddy Bag Board member and former village trustee.
