Davis is new owner of Princeton Culver’s

PRINCETON — Michele Davis is the new owner/operator of Culver’s of Princeton.

In 2007, Davis began her career at Culver of Rock Falls as a part-time shift manager and eventually became the restaurant operator. Little did she realize that she would eventually own and operate her own Culver’s restaurant in Princeton.

“I’ve been fortunate to grow up in a business that gave me an opportunity to own my own restaurant. It’s a dream come true,” said Davis.

Michele’s opportunity is a result of Culver’s mentor program. It is designed to further embrace owner/operator involvement within the restaurant chain and create career opportunities within a restaurant or growing restaurants. The program allows a mentee to be the designated operator with a lower financial commitment. The program assists great leaders that have the necessary skill sets to participate in ownership.

Davis graduated from Rock Falls High School in 2000, and then attended Sauk Valley Community College. Like many graduates, she hoped to find a profession that offered opportunities for growth and success. She worked in retail and service businesses for a short time, but she felt there was something more waiting for her.

“When Michele joined the Rock Falls Culver’s team, I could see her potential as a leader,” said franchise owner and Michele’s mentor, Jason Roe. “Michele is a leader who gives 100 percent in effort and dedication to whatever she does, even in the face of challenges. She quickly learned how to manage the Rock Falls restaurant in a way that made team members and guests happy to be there.”

The move from part-time manager to an owner is the result of Michele’s determination and commitment to do the right thing — and to help others do the same. “It’s something my father instilled in me at a young age, “said Davis. “I’m excited to become actively involved in the Princeton community.”

Michele and her husband, Mike, have four sons, Jasan, Jakob, Jimi, and Jonathan.
