WESTMONT – Police are investigating a single vehicle traffic accident that occurred in the early morning of July 8 at the intersection of 35th Street and Cass Avenue in Westmont, according to the Westmont Police Department.

One lane on Cass Avenue is currently blocked due to the incident, but traffic is flowing, said Westmont Sergeant Brian Gruen.

The accident happened near the Oak Brook Hills Resort where Cass Avenue turns into Midwest Road, and caused a personal injury, but no more information is available at this point, according to Gruen.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area, according to police.
