Kline Creek celebrates Fourth the old-fashioned way

WEST CHICAGO – Area residents enjoyed an Independence Day event for the history books at Kline Creek Farm's "Celebrating the Fourth."

The festivities, held July 2 at the historic farm, included old-school outdoor games, farmhouse tours, baseball and patriotic crafts.

Later the same day, the farm hosted "Evening in the Country: The Glorious Fourth," which featured ice cream and a ceremony with songs and a reading of the Declaration of Independence.
